Savings Local is a business name of Black Sheep Marketing, LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Savings Local," "we," "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through savingslocal.com, our forms, phone calls, emails and text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details, such as your name, business name, email address, mobile phone number and city.
- Business details for directory listings, such as category, business name and business phone number.
- Messages you send us by form, email, phone or text.
- Payment details when you buy a plan. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Your texting choices, including when and how you agreed to receive text messages.
Information collected automatically
- Basic device and usage data, such as browser type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies or similar tools that help the website work and help us understand how it is used.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and follow up on your request.
- To set up, publish and manage directory listings in print and online.
- To process payments and send account, billing and service messages.
- To send text messages you have agreed to receive, as described below.
- To send marketing emails or texts only where you have agreed or where the law allows.
- To run, protect and improve our website and services, and to follow the law.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check a texting consent box on our website or text our number, we may send you text messages. Service messages cover your inquiry, scheduling, account and billing. Marketing messages, which you must agree to separately, cover things like open categories and new cities. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver our text messages (such as our messaging platform and phone carriers).
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, customer management and messaging software, payment processing, printing and mailing. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- In the directory. If you buy a listing, your business name, category and business phone number appear on the printed card and in our online directory. Our Terms also allow us to show your business name and listing on our website and social media.
- For legal reasons, such as to follow the law or a court order, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of the business, subject to this policy.
All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices
- Texts: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Email: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Access, correction or deletion: Email us at info@blacksheepmktg.com to ask to see, correct or delete your information. We may keep some records when the law requires it, such as billing records and proof of your texting consent or opt-out.
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well without them.
How long we keep information
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including to provide our services, keep business and tax records, and keep proof of texting consent and opt-outs.
Security
We use reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our text messages are for people 18 and older.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
